Thoughts to Ponder...

Is there anything more peaceful than a two year old sleeping soundly on her father's lap? Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

Is there anything more terrorizing than a two year old who needs a nap but is fighting it off so that she doesn't miss anything because company is over and she wants to be the center of attention? Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

I love staying with my brother and visiting with my other siblings as well, but it also reassures me that I am in the vocation God laid out for me. Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

And she's not even a teenager yet! Then you'll be even more sure..hehe..
Hope you're having a good time!

All I can say is....it won't get any better. You may find that growing into your Vocation also means growing into your role as Uncle....be prepared for those teenage years! Especially for girls. You have NO IDEA what we go through and strong, present male figures will do a great deal to keep us on the strait and narrow.

If you happen to be a Godfather...well...that might even help. Are you the Godfather by any chance?

The oldest neice is currently a freshman in high school, so we have the teenage years covered. (Plus there are two more sisters coming up right behind her, too!)

I have 11 nieces and four nephews, i am the Godfather of one niece, currently a two year old, but not the one I am visiting this weekend, and one nephew: the oldest boy and fourth in line of the family (see the the line of three girls above).

So, while I only have two 'official' Godchildren in the family, I am also aware that I have a unique role among all of them and pray for them all daily.

Well! You have lots and lots of "kids" don't you! :-) And I've always thought that the aunts and uncles have the best role...they get to be fun. Although I've been disciplined by aunts and uncles on more than one occasion... * ahem *

I wasn't always this angelic.

:-)

Sounds like you have an awesome family.

and this uncle wishes you a weekend of rest and relaxation - you're certainly going to be busy the few days. May the Christ Child continue to be the light of you life.
