Ache

Mom and Dad have a place at Indian Lake, a small mud puddle type lake in Western Ohio. They have wanted to take down a decorative brick wall that, frankly, needed to come down for a few years now.

Last night, after an appointment in the northern part of the diocese, I stopped over at their place at the Lake to spend a bit of time with them. As I arrived, Dad had sledge in hand and was starting to whack at a few bricks. Well, a few bricks quickly turned into a whole wall down and piled in the trailer they brought along (with requisite flat tires!)

After a stressful week, it was nice to take a little frustration out on a poor, unsuspecting brick wall. Slept like a baby last night, but can hardly move today!

Your getting old, Fr. Kyle! ;) I'm just glad to hear that neither one of you got hurt in the process!!

Glad to hear you haven't forgotten your good midwest Ohio genes. Wish I could have been there, too!
