NCRegister

This week's National Catholic Register is the apparently the annual vocation issue. Your humble scribe in these parts was interviewed for a story in this issue. Now, if only I could get my hands on a copy.......

(I foolishly let my subscription run out, :bangingheadagainstdoorpost: )

"humble" scribe?

Really?

Don't do that you might hurt the poor door post... they have feelings too you know...

Great question, Adoro.

Kat - yes, given the hardness of what is hitting the poor door post - it's probably splintered now!!

BTW - I have an up to date subscription - hmmmmmm - for a tiny, little price, my good Father!!!

jackie ~ Father won't send me the article because of my comment. Can you help me out?

And Father, Kat is right. Don't hurt the door post.

And also, if you get splinters in your head, that will disrupt the shiny surface...

Be careful we are going to organize an official Pick on Fr. S. Day.

I believe, ladies, the comment was our efforts at busting on him were 'weak', 'pathetic' and 'disappointing'.

How we doin' now? :)

Kat - I LIKE that idea - the problem would be - only 1 da'?

jackie ~ and he "yelled" at me today for busting on him! I don't know what to do anymore: Be nice or start flaming? He's not happy either way!

Methinks Father's confused.

Adoro - now, now - you, like me, KNOWS the good Father is confused!!

Adoro - Men are never happy!
I vote for a national pick on Fr S. day or maybe week :-) There is just so much material!!

Adoro said...

Yeah, but apparently it's CONTAGIOUS!!! Because now I'm confused!

Oh, hi MJ...I think we commented at the same time...it didn't want to post! Now I see why...you got there first!

I think it might be time for a national pick on Fr. S. day. After all, when I was in Cleveland he declared it "Pick on Adoro" day and he was MERCILESS!

Show no MERCY, take no prisoners!!

Ok, lets say that Friday is National Pick on Fr. S Day. Only because I am spending tomorrow morning in an MRI machine and I want a full 24 hour day available.

OOOOOO Good!! Friday it is!!The First Official Pick on Father Kyle Schnippel Day - Friday Aug 22 - Feast of the Queenship of Mary!

Well, OK, I should be good during the day, but I start class that evening and will be in class all weekend. You guys will have to carry it through during the evening hours. HOpefully I'll check in when I get home and before I fall asleep!

MJ said...

That's my first day with students so I can pick up some of the evening hours. Between school and parish council and after parish council. I'm in!!! I can hardly wait!!

You know, Ladies, I was thinking...maybe it's not a good idea to declare our "Pick on Father" day. For one thing, today has kind of been that day.

Secondly...the element of surprise is gone. What if Father is incommunicado on Friday? That's not fair. He SHOULD have a sporting chance to defend himself (although he's been suspiciously absent today...which leads me to surmise today can't be the "pick on" day.) It's no fun if the prey can't fight back. I mean...we can bear arms...I'm all for arming bears, too! It's in the second amendment!

(Although Padre K has significantly less hair than a bear...)

Anyway, maybe we should plan this in some other venue.

Adoro - it is true that it's not looking like a very exciting fight - but might I point out to you that he DID START IT!!

I mean - if he told us publically that he was wrong about us being pathetic, wimpy fighters - then possibly we could delay it!

Of course - this lack of response does seem a little wimpy and pathetic - no?

Don't ya just love this?!

I'm with Jackie... plenty of warning so he can gird himself...

and he has been suspiciously silent today... me thinks he is up to something... then again I could just be paranoid.

Adoro said...

I think he's up to something, too.

And dang it, I just went to Confession tonight, and already here I am, plotting against a Priest.

I can't even go to Confession for this! It would be presumption!

My only consolation is that I know he's plotting, too. So if I'm guilty, and he has a higher standard of expectation (theologically ) of conduct, wel, if I have to go to Confession....so does HE! lol!

Ladies,

Being closer - I KNOW he's up to something - just don't know what. You're right - suspeciously quiet today.

We'll have to be on guard and quiet prepared for the POFKS Day.

And don't you think it's fabulous that we are using HIS blog to plan and plot this???

He's definitely up to something!! We could always use email to plan!! Easier for me since blogs are blocked at school as personal spaces.
