Deep Thoughts from a Purdue Grad

So, wisdom gleaned from talking to my brother, the Purdue Chemical Engineer:

There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don't.

All electronic devices are powered by Black Magic Smoke. If something goes wrong, and the device loses it's Black Magic Smoke, said device will no longer work.

The quote is properly listed as:

All eletrical components are powered by Magic Smoke. If something goes wrong, and the device loses it's Magic Smoke, it will no longer function.

I have no idea who actually came up with that quote.

The first one came to mind as we were eating dinner at the bier stube in Moline. The table next to us had a couple of eggheads talking all things computer and one very bored young lady intently studying her bottle of 312.

Kurt -

Thank you so much for providing your brother with an explaination that he will be able to use.

I know how difficult this can be!! :)

I don't know, reminds me of walking out of a restaraunt one time and seeing the Mazda Miata with the teeth and leg sticking out of the front air dam. You going nutzo in excitement, the Peg rolling her eyes. Providentially, the owner of said Miata happens to walk out of the restaraunt just behind us and broudly boasts that 'the teeth glow blue at night!' I remember Peggy and his wife/girlfriend sharing a moment of sympathy with one another,

That is still one of the coolest Miata's I've ever seen! And I've seen a lot of (spec) Miatas in my day.

Thanks for the memory, bro!
